Our Seattle friends have a lovely vacation home located in Friday Harbor. It is reachable from Seattle via an hour Washington Ferry ride from Anacortes. It is part of the San Juan Islands group, where mountain and water are so scenic, even the Anacortes car park is already a recreational area in my estimation! It is truly one of the most attractive nature scenery.The quilt was made as an expression of our thanks for letting us visit their Friday Harbor home, which we have done for a number of summers now.
It is strip-pieced and predominantly red and blue prints and solids. The border is a Japanese-inspired floral print in blue and red. Measures about 85 x 90 inches.
